Africansasaeng is a community for Africans who love Korean dramas, film, music, and pop culture. We watch, scream, overthink, and then connect Korean stories to our own lived experiences, emotions, and everyday realities.
Beyond fandom, we make room for thoughtful commentary, real conversations, and cultural exchange, where African perspectives are not just included, but centred, celebrated, and taken seriously.
We’ve always felt that certain aspects of Kdramas are relatable because they share similarities with Nigerian culture.
This inspired us to create a space for people like us who can relate, and from there, we opened the community to everyone, regardless of race or ethnicity.
