BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is officially stepping back into the solo spotlight. On August 24, Jisoo released a short but intriguing teaser announcing that she will return with new music on September 4, immediately sending BLINKs into theory mode.
The announcement came through a mysterious teaser titled “CLICK,” released at 6 p.m. KST. Rather than revealing the song title, album details or concept in full, the teaser keeps things deliberately minimal, ending with the phrase “You clicked.” The cryptic approach has already given fans plenty of room to speculate about what Jisoo has planned for her next musical chapter.
The comeback is particularly interesting because Jisoo’s solo career has continued to develop alongside BLACKPINK’s group activities and her growing acting career. Her solo debut album ME, released in 2023, introduced listeners to “FLOWER” and “All Eyes on Me,” with “FLOWER” becoming one of the defining solo releases of that year. The title track also became a major global streaming and chart success.
Since then, Jisoo has increasingly balanced music with acting. Her work on screen has expanded her profile beyond BLACKPINK, while her solo music has established a separate identity from the group’s more performance-heavy sound.
The September 4 release therefore arrives at an interesting moment. BLACKPINK recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a decade since the group debuted in August 2016. With the members pursuing individual projects while continuing their group career, Jisoo’s new release gives fans another opportunity to see how she is shaping her artistic identity independently.
For now, the biggest mystery is what “CLICK” actually represents. No complete track list, album format or collaborators have been revealed in the announcement.
One thing is certain: September 4 is now circled on BLINK calendars. More teasers and promotional details are expected before release day.
