ITZY’s Chaeryeong has officially announced her solo debut, revealing the schedule, track list and trailer for her first solo album, “Lovesick,” on October 19. The release will arrive on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST, with a US physical release and English version of the title track following on November 13.
Chaeryeong debuted with ITZY in 2019 and has spent more than seven years performing as part of the JYP Entertainment girl group. Known for her precise dancing and expressive stage presence, she has become one of the group’s most recognisable performers. A solo debut gives her an opportunity to present a more individual musical identity rather than working within ITZY’s group sound.
The announcement of “Lovesick” includes three important elements: a trailer introducing the project’s visual direction, a promotional schedule outlining the lead-up to release, and a track list that gives fans an early look at the album’s structure. This staged rollout is a familiar part of K-pop promotion, allowing fans to build expectations through a sequence of reveals rather than receiving all the information at once.
The release plan also points to an international audience. On November 13 at 2 p.m. KST, the physical version of the album will be released in the United States, alongside an English version of “Lovesick.” That move gives overseas listeners a dedicated release format and a version of the title track they can more easily follow.
Solo projects can be an important moment for an idol whose public image has largely been defined by group activities. Chaeryeong’s debut will give listeners a chance to evaluate her musical direction, vocal delivery and performance style in a more focused setting. It also creates another way for ITZY members to explore individual work while the group continues its own career.
The title “Lovesick” suggests a romantic theme, although the full story behind the song and the album’s overall concept will become clearer as more promotional material arrives.
Chaeryeong’s solo debut album and title-track music video arrive on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST. The US physical release and English-language title track are scheduled for November 13.
