Q1: Intoduce yourself like a K-drama fan?

Q2: How did you first get interested in k-dramas, and what was the first drama you ever watched?

Ooh, I can’t remember the year but I remember I was obsessed with Boys over flowers and Playful kiss, my sisters and I used to contribute money to buy those Aba made CDs. Those were the days. 😂

Q3: What are some of your all-time favourite k-dramas, and what makes them stand out to you?

For me it has to be She was Beautiful, it was so good how she kept running around trying to not be recognized and he hated her for being unorganized.

Then Run on, this is more of a stab at a friend for not liking it 😂, but it was such a calm drama, the main leads really hacked the relationship thing.

My third favorite would be Crash landing on you, for some reason, I always go back to the scene where he comes to the south and his comrades follow him, it was comical and expressed love in such a profound way.

Next is You are Beautiful, Ko mi nam was a carefully crafted character and the boys made it even better keeping her secret after finding it, it expressed friendship and love triangles in the most crazy way.

Last but not the least is The beauty inside, I loved the whole changing faces shebang, it made me wish for love that focused on the person rather than their beauty and it’s one of the kdramas where the names perfectly fit the drama.

Q4: Have you ever traveled to Korea or another country specifically because of your love for k-dramas? If not, would you like to?

Oh yes please, I know we watch a lot of kdramas that focus on its beauty but another reason I want to visit is to really understand its culture and laws.

Q5: How has watching k-dramas impacted your life, if at all? Do you find yourself incorporating themes or lessons from dramas into your daily life?

Yes please, we see ‘Archaeopteryx’ like men in kdramas everyday but we also see how well they take care of their women, how much character building they go through and I like to think I no longer marvel at the barest minimum and demand the best from people. Kdramas preach confidence, self love, beauty and overall pampering and I’m always going to be here for this.

Q6: Tell us about an annoying misconception people have had about you just because you watch K-dramas or listen to K-pop

Oh, you have a low IQ, or oh you’ll still marry Qudus. Not that Qudus isn’t a fine name or maybe a fine man but wishing something good isn’t a bad thing and there was a point where I argued and tried to make people see its beauty but now I just ignore and block

Q7: Recommend just one K-drama you think everyone should watch?

City Hunter, definitely.
