Q1: Introduce yourself like a K-drama fanatic?

Hello, I’m Mercy. A K-drama lover, one who wants to visit Korea just to experience their traditions, food, festivals and meet cute oppas.

Q2: How did you first get interested in k-dramas, and what was the first drama you ever watched?

My first K-drama was Healer and I absolutely loved it! I was in university then, and a friend of mine mentioned it and told me to give it a try. I did and got hooked.

Q3: What are some of your all-time favourite k-dramas, and what makes them stand out to you?

Omo, this is hard o but here we go:

Mr. Queen: This drama had me in tears from laughter. The leads were hilarious.

Healer: Always has a place in my heart.

The King: Eternal Monarch: I was so invested in this, it had everything — sci-fi, romance, thriller, a fine king!

Business Proposal: The tension! I go back to watch it just for fun.

Q4: Have you ever travlled to Korea or another country specifically because of your love for k-dramas? If not, would you like to?

I haven’t… yet. But I would really love to. I’d love to attend a drama or film event, visit popular shooting locations, and just soak in the vibe of the country I’ve grown to love from my screen.

Q5: How has watching k-dramas impacted your life, if at all? Do you find yourself incorporating themes or lessons from dramas into your daily life?

Kdramas make me more observant of people’s emotions. They also remind me to always be kind, stay optimistic, and believe in slow and steady love. Sometimes I catch myself using K-drama phrases unconsciously. 😂

Q6: Tell us about an annoying misconception people have had about you just because you watch K-dramas or listen to K-pop

That I’m unserious or childish. Or that I expect to be swept off my feet by some chaebol son, lol. It’s entertainment like any other, and I actually learn a lot from them.

Q7: Recommend just one K-drama you think everyone should watch?

Mr. Queen! The comedy, the acting, the twist. A must-watch!

ANSWER: I found the page on Instagram randomly, and it felt like home. Seeing fellow Nigerians love K-dramas like I do made me feel seen. I love the edits, the commentary, the jokes — everything! Thanks for creating this space ❤️
