The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards lit up Seoul on May 8, bringing together some of the biggest names in Korean entertainment for one of the industry’s most prestigious nights. Held at COEX and hosted by Shin Dong Yup, Bae Suzy, and Park Bo Gum, the ceremony once again celebrated excellence across television, film, theater, and musicals.

Established in 1965, the Baeksang Arts Awards remain one of the highest honors in Korean entertainment, often seen as a benchmark for both artistic achievement and cultural impact. This year’s winners reflected a mix of established legends and rising stars, showing just how dynamic the industry has become.

On the broadcast side, Ryu Seung Ryong took home the Grand Prize (Daesang) for his performance in The Dream Life of Mr. Kim, marking one of the biggest highlights of the night. The Best Drama award went to Netflix’s You and Everything Else, while Hyun Bin and Park Bo Young secured Best Actor and Best Actress respectively.

The film category was equally competitive, with Yoo Hae Jin winning the Grand Prize for The King’s Warden. The Best Film award went to No Other Choice, while actors like Park Jeong Min and Mun Ka Young earned top acting honors.

Beyond television and film, the ceremony also celebrated achievements in theater and musicals, highlighting the broader creative landscape of Korean entertainment. Meanwhile, the Naver Popularity Award went to Park Ji Hoon and Im YoonA, proving once again the power of fan support.

From emotional speeches to well-deserved wins, this year’s Baeksang Arts Awards captured both the heart and evolution of the industry.
